MEMBERSHIP Bylaws
PURPOSE
-Football Club Connecticut
(FCC) was formed to foster amateur men’s’ soccer competition by promoting ,
developing and competing in the Amateur Soccer League of Connecticut in the Town
of Stamford, Ct. The club will field competitive men’s team in both outdoor and
indoor leagues in Stamford. The headquarters of the Club shall be the location
of the President.
-The Club shall be affiliated
with the Amateur Soccer League of Connecticut.
ARTICLE 2
MEMBERSHIP
-Any individual who has paid his
yearly dues in full.
-Any adult who is physically
capable of competing in the leagues we are members of.
-Any person is eligible for
membership who is over 18 years of age and resides within Fairfield County and
surrounding towns. An annual membership fee of $25 (or as otherwise fixed by
the membership and approved by the executive board shall be paid to the FCC).
-Any person who serves as a
volunteer, coach or assistant coach during a calendar year shall be a member
without payment of the membership fee.
ARTICLE 3
OFFICERS
3.1 The officers of the
FCC shall be as follows:
A. President:
The President shall be responsible for presiding over regularly scheduled
meetings of the FCC including general and executive board meetings.
He/she shall be the chief executive officer of the FCC and shall
supervise all business and affairs between the FCC and officials and
departments of the Town of Stamford and officials of district, state or national
soccer associations and shall execute any business contracts that may be
approved by the Club. The President shall perform all duties incident to the
office of the President.
B.
Vice-President: In the absence of the President, the Vice-President shall
perform the duties of the President, and when so acting shall have all the
powers of and be subject to all the restrictions upon the President. He shall
attend the District meeting.
C.
Treasurer: The Treasurer shall have custody of all funds and shall keep the
books of the FCC. The Treasurer shall deposit funds and maintain bank accounts
in such banks, trust companies or other depositories as shall be designated by
the executive board. The Treasurer shall be responsible for all disbursements
as directed by the executive board, and, in general, shall perform all the
duties incident to the office of the Treasurer. At each regularly called
meeting, the Treasurer shall present an updated report. The Treasurer may
maintain separate checking accounts with another individual approved by the
Executive Committee as an additional signatory.
D.
Secretary: The Secretary shall record the minutes of each meeting and shall be
responsible for any and all correspondence on behalf of the FCC as
directed by the membership, executive board, or the officers. The Secretary
shall be responsible for the storage and retrieval of all minutes,
correspondence, trophies, banners, etc. of the FCC. The Secretary shall
give all notices as required by the By-laws of the FCC. The Secretary
shall keep a register setting forth the name and addresses of each member and,
in general, shall perform all duties incident to the office.
3.2 The officers of
the FCC have been established as the founding members of the organization
and will remain the same until a decision is made to make changes.
E.
Director, Fund Raising: The Fund Raising Director shall be responsible for
all fund raising activities of the FCC.
F.
Director, Coaches: The Director of Coaches shall chair the Coaches Committee
and be responsible for all matters related to Coaches.
ARTICLE 3
STANDING COMMITTEES
5.1
Committees will be formed accordingly as the club develops the needs to
obtain additional items to keep the club functioning.
ARTICLE
4
MEETINGS
4.1 The executive board shall meet
as required.
4.2 A general meeting of the Club
membership shall occur on at the beginning of each indoor and outdoor season.
Notice of meeting will appear on the club website one week prior to meeting.
Additional meetings may be called at the request of an officer or three
members.
ARTICLE 5
FISCAL YEAR
5.1
The fiscal year of the FCC shall commence on October 1st and end on Sept 30th
of the following year.
ARTICLE 6
DISSOLUTION
6.1
Upon the dissolution of the FCC, the executive board shall, after
paying or making provision for the payment of all of the liabilities of the
FCC, dispose of all of the assets of the FCC exclusively for the
purposes of the FCC in such manner or to such organization or
organizations organized and operated exclusively as charitable organizations
under section 501 (c)-(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 (or the
corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law), as
the Executive board shall determine.
